Fast funding is mostly preparation. The lenders that fund the same day all ask for the same handful of things, and the owners who get funded fastest have them ready before they apply. Here is the list.
Before you apply: gather three things
- Your last three full months of business bank statements as PDFs downloaded from the bank, not screenshots
- Your EIN, the business's legal name exactly as it appears on the bank account, and the start date
- The owner's details: name, address, date of birth and Social Security number for a soft credit check
Apply early in the day
Decisions take minutes but funding is a banking event. Wires sent before mid-afternoon Eastern arrive the same day; later submissions typically land the next morning. If today matters, apply before lunch.
Pick a direct lender
A broker forwards your file to several funders and waits. A direct lender such as Affirmative Funding reviews it in-house and answers in minutes. The difference is usually a day or more.
Ask for a realistic amount
First fundings generally land between 70% and 120% of monthly revenue. Asking for five times your monthly deposits sends the file to a longer review. Ask for what the statements support and renew for more later.
Answer the phone
Every lender confirms the bank account and the signer before releasing money. The single most common reason a same-day approval funds tomorrow is an unanswered confirmation call.
Have one open conversation about existing balances
If you already have financing in the statements, say so up front. Specialists can structure around it; discovering it in the statements and then asking about it costs hours.
What qualifies
Affirmative Funding approves businesses with $20,000 or more in monthly revenue, six months in business and a U.S. business bank account. Credit score is secondary to deposits.
